All activities in pursuit of political, religious, humanitarian, cultural or ecological aims are deemed to be conceptual uses, excluding commercial uses.
Following details:
- Conceptual promotions on the publicly accessible premises of SBB AG are – apart from a processing fee of CHF 90 for conceptual stand campaigns – free of charge but they do require a permit nevertheless. Authorisations are issued at specified locations and times.
- Conceptual promotions are booked via the normal product search process under Stand & distribution campaigns. After selecting the desired spaces, the booking enquiry is completed using the checklist. This is where the slider ‘I use the stand space or distribution points for an ideal action. You can find more information about ideal actions here.’ can be selected. This adjusts the costs to the rate for conceptual campaigns:
- No permit is required to use the areas designated as “permit-free promotional spaces” in the larger stations.
- You can find further information on permit-free promotional spaces here.
- Commercial uses with a conceptual background (political, religious, humanitarian, cultural or ecological; ‘mixed uses’) by tax-exempt non-profit organisations are considered fundraising.

Conceptual promotions are carried out with the complete exclusion of commercial components and/or are carried out by organisations which do not earn any money from their activities.
In exceptional cases, it is also possible to make a booking for stations which have no separate promotional area. This depends on the type of campaign planned and on the volume. Enquiries for such stations must be made via the contact form.
